The hilly port city of Nagasaki has become known internationally as one of the two Japanese cities to be destroyed by an atomic bomb towards the close of World War II.
On the 2nd (Sat), get engrossed in the history at Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum, steep yourself in history at Nagasaki Peace Park, then take in the awesome beauty at Mt. Inasa, then examine the collection at Dejima, and finally stroll through Glover Garden. On the 3rd (Sun), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: step off the mainland to explore Hashima Island, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Sofukuji Temple, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Catholic Church Hongouchi, and finally walk around Nagao Castle Park.

Singapore, Singapore to Nagasaki is an approximately 11.5-hour combination of flight and train. You can also fly. The time zone difference when traveling from Singapore to Nagasaki is 1 hour. Prepare for cooler weather when traveling from Singapore in November: high temperatures in Nagasaki hover around 20°C and lows are around 13°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 3rd (Sun) to allow enough time to take a train to Hiroshima.

On the 4th (Mon), steep yourself in history at Atomic Bomb Dome, then make a trip to Peace Memorial Park - Hiroshima, and then examine the collection at Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. On the next day, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Itsukushima Shrine, then head off the coast to Miyajima, and then stop by Itsukushima Gekijyo.

The castle around which the city of Himeji has developed represents one of the best preserved in the country, and has been designated as a national treasure and a World Heritage Site.
Start off your visit on the 6th (Wed): take in nature's colorful creations at Koko-en Garden, go for a walk through Himeji Castle, then make a trip to Shoshazan Engyoji, and finally contemplate the long history of Yoneda Taishiji Temple.

You can take a train from Hiroshima to Himeji in an hour. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of bus and train. In November in Himeji, expect temperatures between 19°C during the day and 13°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 6th (Wed) early enough to travel to Osaka.
