A modern, bustling city known for its beer brewery, Sapporo attracts millions of visitors with its Snow Festival, during which elaborate ice and snow sculptures are exhibited all over town.
Your day-by-day itinerary now includes Sapporo Factory, Sapporo Beer Museum, Historical Village of Hokkaido (Kaitaku-no Mura), and other attractions you added. Take a break from Sapporo with a short trip to Sapporo Breweries, Ltd. Hokkaido factory in Eniwa, about 1 hour away. There's much more to do: contemplate the long history of Sapporo Clock Tower, don't miss a visit to Former Hokkaido Government Office Building, enjoy breathtaking views from Sapporo TV Tower, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Hokkaido Jingu.

Vancouver, Canada to Sapporo is an approximately 16-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train. Traveling from Vancouver to Sapporo, you'll lose 17 hours due to the time zone difference. Traveling from Vancouver in July, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be somewhat warmer in Sapporo, with lows of 24°C. You'll have a few hours on the 27th (Sat) to wrap things up before traveling to Otaru.

The port city of Otaru has long attracted domestic visitors, drawn in by the city's many historic buildings, and has started to garner international attention, too.
Your day-by-day itinerary now includes Otaru Sakaimachi Street. Start off your visit on the 27th (Sat): hunt for treasures at Sankaku Market, find something for the whole family at Otaru Denuki Koji, steep yourself in history at Former Motosaburo Kaneko Store, then stop by Otaru Sakaimachi Street, and finally explore the activities along Otaru Canal.

Take a train from Sapporo to Otaru in an hour. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or drive. In July, plan for daily highs up to 26°C, and evening lows to 24°C. On the 28th (Sun), you'll have the morning to explore before heading off to Hakodate.

A gateway to the island, Hakodate has gained a reputation for its waterfront attractions, its proximity to some of the island's most popular natural sites, and its seafood.
On the 28th (Sun), stop by Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse, steep yourself in history at The Old Public Hall of Hakodate Ward, and then take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mount Hakodate. On the 29th (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: hunt for treasures at Hakodate Morning Market.

Traveling by car from Otaru to Hakodate takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can fly; or do a combination of train and flight. In July, daily temperatures in Hakodate can reach 26°C, while at night they dip to 22°C. You'll have a few hours on the 30th (Tue) to wrap things up before traveling to Noboribetsu.

Perhaps the island's best-known hot spring resort, Noboribetsu has a long history of tourism.
Your day-by-day itinerary now includes Oyunumagawa Natural Footbath, Jigokudani and New Chitose Airport Onsen. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Noboribetsu: Shiraoi-cho (Lake Kuttara, Lake Poroto, & more), Muroran (Kaigancho 2 Chome Park, Hakucho Ohashi Bridge Observation Deck, & more) and Toyako-cho (Abuta Local Museum, Toyako Forest Museum, & more). You can take a train from Hakodate to Noboribetsu in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can drive. July in Noboribetsu sees daily highs of 26°C and lows of 19°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 30th (Fri) to allow enough time to travel back home.
