Escape the urban bustle at Hayravank Monastery and Dilijan National Park. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Noratus Cemetery and Goshavank Monastery. Change things up with a short trip to Kecharis Monastery in Tsakhkadzor (about 56 minutes away). Traveling by car from Yerevan to Dilijan takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a shuttle; or take a bus. June in Dilijan sees daily highs of 36°C and lows of 18°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 9th (Tue) so you can go by car to Alaverdi.

Alaverdi, is a town in the Lori Province at the northeastern part of Armenia, near the border with Georgia. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Akhtala Monastery and Odzun Church. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Haghpat Monastery and Horomayri Monastery. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 1 hour traveling from Dilijan to Alaverdi. Expect little chillier temperatures when traveling from Dilijan in June; daily highs in Alaverdi reach 28°C and lows reach 11°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 12th (Fri) early enough to drive to Gyumri.

Gyumri

Gyumri, the second largest city in Armenia, survived a turbulent history and a devastating earthquake in 1988.
On the 13th (Sat), take an in-depth tour of Shiraz House Museum, then take an in-depth tour of Isahakyan House Museum, and then get engrossed in the history at Museum of National Architecture and Urban Life. Keep things going the next day: take in the awesome beauty at Mount Aragats, get a taste of the local shopping with The Gallery of Mariam and Eranuhi Aslamazyan Sisters, then pause for some photo ops at Mother Armenia, and finally explore the historical opulence of Black Fortress.

You can drive from Alaverdi to Gyumri in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train. In June in Gyumri, expect temperatures between 28°C during the day and 11°C at night. On the 15th (Mon), you'll travel back home.
