Fort William is the second largest settlement in the Highlands of Scotland with around 10,000 inhabitants – and the largest town: only the city of Inverness is larger.Fort William is a major tourist centre, with Glen Coe just to the south, Aonach Mòr to the east and Glenfinnan to the west, on the Road to the Isles. On the 7th (Mon), see the interesting displays at West Highland Museum, admire the sheer force of Steall Waterfall, and then take in the awesome beauty at Ben Nevis. On the 8th (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: appreciate the views at Glen Coe, identify plant and animal life at Highland Titles Nature Reserve, and then trek along Glencoe Lochan.

Inverness, often described as the Gateway to the Highlands, is a thriving commercial and industrial center.
Escape the urban bustle at Cairngorm Reindeer Centre and Nairn Beach. Visit Culloden Battlefield and Clava Cairns for their historical value. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Inverness: Struy (Chisholm Graveyard & Highland Falconry at The Struy Inn), Aigas Field Centre (in Beauly) and RZSS Highland Wildlife Park (in Kingussie).
