Known nationally as an industrial heartland, Nagoya boasts a far more cosmopolitan and cultural core than its reputation would lead you to believe.
Explore hidden gems such as Nakasendo Walking Trail, Tsumagojuku and Toyohashi General Botanical Garden, Non Hoi Park. Change things up with these side-trips from Nagoya: Nakasendo Magome Walking Trail (in Nakatsugawa), Hamanako Garden Park (in Hamamatsu) and Nabana no Sato (in Kuwana). You can take a train from Nagoya to Kyoto in an hour. Other options are to drive; or take a bus. Expect a daytime high around 16°C in March, and nighttime lows around 5°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 24th (Tue) to allow enough time to drive to Miyazu.
