Panama City, Panama to Tokyo is an approximately 21-hour flight. The time zone changes from Eastern Standard Time (EST) to Japan Standard Time (JST), which is usually a 14 hour difference. Traveling from Panama City in February, expect Tokyo to be colder, temps between 12°C and 2°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 28th (Fri) to allow enough time to travel to Kyoto.

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Start off your visit on the 28th (Fri): wander the streets of Gion, contemplate the long history of Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and then take an in-depth tour of Namikawa Yasuyuki Sippo Memorial Museum. Here are some ideas for day two: explore the historical opulence of Nijo Castle, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Kinkaku-ji, then examine the collection at Kyoto Railway Museum, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Sanjusangendo Temple.

You can take a train from Tokyo to Kyoto in 3 hours. Other options are to fly; or drive. In February, plan for daily highs up to 11°C, and evening lows to 1°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 29th (Sat) early enough to go by car to Ise.

A spiritual center of Shintoism, Ise stands as a traditional city where visitors can see the roots of Japanese culture in a number of well-preserved natural and historic sites.
Start off your visit on the 1st (Sun): appreciate the extensive heritage of Ise Shrine Geku, examine the collection at Okageza, steep yourself in history at Oharai-machi, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Tsukiyomi-no-miya Shrine, then steep yourself in history at Izawanomiya, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Ise Grand Shrine.

Getting from Kyoto to Ise by car takes about 2 hours. Other options: take a train; or take a bus. Plan for somewhat warmer nights when traveling from Kyoto in February since evenings lows in Ise dip to 7°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 1st (Sun) early enough to travel to Miyakojima.

On the 2nd (Mon), kick back and relax at Sunayama Beach, enjoy the sea views from Higashi Hennazaki Lighthouse, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Yonaha Maehama Beach. On the 3rd (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: get outside with Outdoor Activities, then snap pictures at Irabu Bridge, and then explore the gorgeous colors at Yabiji.

Traveling by combination of train and flight from Ise to Miyakojima takes 5.5 hours. In March, Miyakojima is a bit warmer than Ise - with highs of 26°C and lows of 20°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 3rd (Tue) to allow time to ride a ferry to Iriomote-jima.
