Proud of their hometown's distinct culture and dialect, many natives of Osaka describe their city as "Japan's anti-capital." An antidote to Tokyo's hectic energy, Osaka marches to the beat of its own drum, serving as the country's longtime commercial and industrial hub.
Your list of things to see and do now includes Sennichimae Doguyasuji Shopping Street, Mount Koyasan, Daimaru Shinsaibashi, and other attractions. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Osaka: Nara (Kofuku-ji Temple & Todaiji Temple Cultural Center), Koya-cho (Okunoin & Koyasan Danjo Garan) and Kobe (Sannomiya Center Gai Shopping Street & Kobe Harborland). There's much more to do: step into the grandiose world of Osaka Castle, admire the landmark architecture of Shin Umeda City, have some family-friendly fun at Video Game Bar Space Station, and indulge in some culinary diversions at a local gastronomic tour.

Make your Osaka itinerary with Inspirock to find out what to see and where to go.
