A modern, bustling city known for its beer brewery, Sapporo attracts millions of visitors with its Snow Festival, during which elaborate ice and snow sculptures are exhibited all over town.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Sapporo: Otaru (Asakusa Bridge, Otaru Canal, & more) and Nikka Whisky Yoichi Distillery (in Yoichi-cho). The adventure continues: stroll around Odori Park, take in the architecture and design of Hokkaido University Sapporo Campus, take a stroll around Sapporo Underground Shopping Centre Aurora Town, and take in panoramic vistas at Sapporo TV Tower.

Singapore, Singapore to Sapporo is an approximately 11-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight; or do a combination of flight and train. The time zone changes from Singapore Time to Japan Standard Time, which is usually a 1 hour difference. Prepare for a bit cooler weather when traveling from Singapore in July: high temperatures in Sapporo hover around 26°C and lows are around 24°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 28th (Tue) so you can catch the train to Asahikawa.

You can take a train from Sapporo to Asahikawa in 1.5 hours. Other options are to drive; or take a bus. In July in Asahikawa, expect temperatures between 26°C during the day and 24°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 31st (Fri) to allow time to drive to Nakafurano-cho.

Getting from Asahikawa to Nakafurano-cho by car takes about 1.5 hours. Expect a bit warmer weather when traveling from Asahikawa in July: highs in Nakafurano-cho hover around 30°C, while lows dip to 21°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 1st (Sat) to allow enough time to travel to Noboribetsu.

Perhaps the island's best-known hot spring resort, Noboribetsu has a long history of tourism.
Kick off your visit on the 2nd (Sun): get in on the family fun at Noboribetsu Date Historic Village, then take in the dramatic natural features at Jigokudani, and then witness a stunning natural landmark at Oku no Yu. On the next day, get up close and personal with brilliant marine life at Noboribetsu Marine Park Nixe, then take in the natural beauty of Oyunumagawa Natural Footbath, and then explore the activities along Lake Toya.

Getting from Nakafurano-cho to Noboribetsu by car takes about 3 hours. Expect a daytime high around 27°C in August, and nighttime lows around 22°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 3rd (Mon) early enough to take a train to Hakodate.

On the 4th (Tue), don't miss a visit to Hachimanzaka, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Hakodate Orthodox Church, then take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mount Hakodate, and finally wander the streets of Motomachi. Traveling by train from Noboribetsu to Hakodate takes 3 hours. Alternatively, you can drive. In August, daytime highs in Hakodate are 28°C, while nighttime lows are 23°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 6th (Thu) to allow enough time to travel back home.
