The location of an old Cherokee village, Bryson City embraces a quiet side of the Great Smoky Mountains.
Sky Valley Overlook and Fields of the Wood will appeal to history buffs. Head to Barber Orchard Fruitstand and Nancy Tut's Christmas Shopfor plenty of shopping. Just a short drive from the national park protecting the diverse plant and animal life of the Great Smoky Mountains, the town features numerous places to visit, such as bars, restaurants, cafes, theaters, and shops.
Kick off your visit on the 29th (Fri): take in the exciting artwork at Fowler's Clay Works, then sample the fine beverages at Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine, then sample the fine beverages at Sugarlands Distilling Company, and finally look for gifts at The Old Mill Candy Kitchen. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 30th (Sat): steep yourself in history at Little Greenbrier School, then steep yourself in history at Walker Sisters' Cabin, and then examine the collection at Titanic Museum Attraction.
