Situated in the isolated north of the hilly Noto Peninsula, Wajima attracts visitors with its many museums, festivals, and shops that showcase its rich cultural heritage.
Your inner history buff will appreciate Kuroshima Area and Daihonzan Soujiji Soin. Relax by the water at Mitsuke Beach and Koiji Beach. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Wajima: Noto Wine (in Anamizu-machi), Shika-machi (Hatago Rock, Musee de la Fleur, Fleuri, & more) and Sugisawa no Sawasugi (in Nyuzen-machi). There's still lots to do: see the interesting displays at Wajima Kiriko Art Museum, head off the coast to Mitsukejima Island, don't miss a visit to Shiroyone Semmaida, and explore the activities along Kamogaura.

To find other places to visit, photos, reviews, and other tourist information, refer to the Wajima online trip itinerary planner .

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major airports are Toyama Airport, Komatsu Airport and Niigata Airport. In May, plan for daily highs up to 69°F, and evening lows to 58°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 16th (Thu) early enough to travel back home.
