Sitting astride the Ljubljanica River, Ljubljana is marked with picturesque bridges and a marketplace, designed by the famous architect Jože Plečnik.
Get out of town with these interesting Ljubljana side-trips: Bled (Ojstrica, Bled Castle, &more), St. Peter's Church (in Radovljica) and Vintgar Gorge (in Zgornje Gorje). Spend the 14th (Mon) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. There's still lots to do: wander the streets of Ljubljana Old Town, take in the views from Dragon Bridge, stroll around Tivoli Park, and contemplate the waterfront views at Ljubljanica River.

The mirror-like waters of the largest glacial lake in Slovenia make Bohinjsko Jezero one of the most popular tourist attractions in the country.
Kick off your visit on the 19th (Sat): take in the dramatic scenery at Savica Waterfall, then catch a ride on Vogel, then fly like a bird with a parasailing or paragliding tour, and finally explore the activities along Lake Bohinj.
