Kick off your visit on the 28th (Sun): kick back and relax at Aragusuku Beach, visit a coastal fixture at Higashi Hennazaki Lighthouse, and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Yonaha Maehama Beach. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: explore the gorgeous colors at Yabiji, then snap pictures at Irabu Bridge, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Sunayama Beach.

Fort McMurray, Canada to Miyakojima is an approximately 26-hour flight. The time zone changes from Mountain Standard Time (MST) to Japan Standard Time (JST), which is usually a 16 hour difference. Traveling from Fort McMurray in July, expect nights in Miyakojima to be much hotter, around 31°C, while days are somewhat warmer, around 37°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 29th (Mon) early enough to catch the ferry to Iriomote-jima.

Taketomicho Iriomote-Jima stands as the second largest island in Okinawa.
Start off your visit on the 30th (Tue): paddle through the water with a kayaking and canoeing tour and then scramble along the landscape with a canyoning and rapelling tour. On your second day here, admire the sheer force of Pinaisara Falls, look for all kinds of wild species at Wildlife Areas, and then take in the dramatic scenery at Mizuochi Falls.

You can ride a ferry from Miyakojima to Iriomote-jima in 4 hours. In July, plan for daily highs up to 38°C, and evening lows to 32°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 31st (Wed) so you can ride a ferry to Ishigaki.

Ishigaki, the most populous island in the chain, features the country's southernmost city and acts as a transport hub for exploring the landmasses that surround.
Kick off your visit on the 1st (Thu): kick back and relax at Yonehara Beach, enjoy the sea views from Cape Hirakubozaki, and then enjoy breathtaking views from Tamatorizaki Observatory. On your second day here, glide peacefully along the water with some of the best stand-up paddleboarding in the area, then stop by Yurateiku Market, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Kondoi Beach.

You can ride a ferry from Iriomote-jima to Ishigaki in an hour. In July, daytime highs in Ishigaki are 38°C, while nighttime lows are 32°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Fri) so you can travel to Kyoto.
