Tokyo is known for historic sites, shopping, parks, museums, and nightlife. Your plan includes some of its best attractions: stroll through Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, take in the spiritual surroundings of Senso-ji Temple, admire the striking features of Tokyo Tower, and take in panoramic vistas at Tokyo Skytree.

St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands to Tokyo is an approximately 25-hour combination of ferry and flight. You can also fly. Kick off your visit on the 6th (Mon): don't miss a visit to Omicho Market, take a stroll through Higashichaya Old Town, step into the grandiose world of Kanazawa Castle, stroll around Kenrokuen Garden, then make a trip to Seisonkaku Villa, and finally examine the collection at Ishikawa Prefectural Museum for Traditional Products and Crafts.

You can take a train from Tokyo to Kanazawa in 2.5 hours. Other options are to fly; or drive. Plan for little chillier nights when traveling from Tokyo in April since evenings lows in Kanazawa dip to 8°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 6th (Mon) to allow time to take a train to Kyoto.

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Change things up with a short trip to Universal Studios Japan in Konohana (about 1h 15 min away). Next up on the itinerary: contemplate the long history of Kiyomizu-dera Temple, wander the streets of Gion, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Kinkaku-ji, and step into the grandiose world of Nijo Castle.

The castle around which the city of Himeji has developed represents one of the best preserved in the country, and has been designated as a national treasure and a World Heritage Site.
Start off your visit on the 10th (Fri): take in nature's colorful creations at Koko-en, then explore the historical opulence of Himeji Castle, then don't miss a visit to Shoshazan Engyoji, and finally take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mt. Takamikura.
