Kick off your visit on the 30th (Tue): examine the collection at Doge's Palace, get to know the fascinating history of Piazza San Marco, then take in the views from Ponte di Rialto, then take a stroll through Cannaregio, and finally capture your vacation like a pro with an inspiring photography tour. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: wander the streets of Dorsoduro, then enjoy breathtaking views from Torre dell'Orologio, then admire the landmark architecture of Basilica di San Marco, and finally pause for some serene contemplation at Basilica di Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari.

Made up of five picturesque towns on the Ligurian coast, Cinque Terre is Italy's answer to the French Riviera.
Start off your visit on the 2nd (Thu): hike along Levanto to Monterosso Trail, then hike along Sentiero Monterosso - Vernazza, and then hike along Footpath Monterosso - Vernazza. On the next day, Head underground at Ex Gallerie, then kick back and relax at Spiaggia di Fegina, then learn more about the world around you at Punta Corvo, and finally enjoy the sand and surf at Marigola Beach.

Take a break from the city and head to Grotte di Stiffe and Il Pioniere. You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Bau Beach and Moai Beach. There's much more to do: admire the local landmark of Trevi Fountain, delve into the distant past at Pantheon, don't miss a visit to St. Peter's Basilica, and steep yourself in history at Colosseum.

You can take a train from Cinque Terre to Rome in 4 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train and flight; or drive. Expect a daytime high around 89°F in July, and nighttime lows around 70°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 7th (Tue) to allow time to travel to Amalfi.

Expect little chillier weather when traveling from Rome in July: highs in Amalfi hover around 84°F, while lows dip to 77°F.
