Kick off your visit on the 25th (Sat): take some stellar pictures from Hakone Ropeway, admire the masterpieces at The Hakone Open-Air Museum, then take an in-depth tour of Hakone Sekisho and Hakone Sekisho Museum, then explore the activities along Lake Ashinoko, and finally contemplate the long history of Hakone Shrine / Kuzuryu Shrine Singu.

You can do a combination of train and bus from Tokyo to Hakone-machi in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train and bus; or drive.
