Situated between Ukraine and Russia, Sevastopol represents a laid-back coastal city with impressive naval history and a desirable microclimate for vacationers.
Venture out of the city with trips to Ai-Petri (in Koreiz), Bakhchisaray (Bakhchisaray Historical, Cultural and Archaeological Museum-Reserve, Bakhchisaryi Holy Dormition Monastery, &more) and Vorontsov Palace and Park complex (in Alupka). There's still lots to do: admire the striking features of Livadia Palace and Park Museum-Reserve, pause for some photo ops at Monument to the Flooded Ships in Sevastopol, contemplate the long history of Chekhov House & Museum, and make a trip to Admiral Nakhimov Monument.
