The city of Hatsukaichi developed from a small market town, frequented by passing samurais during the Edo period.
Step off the beaten path and head to Momijidani Park and Mitaki Temple. Head to Miyajima Omotesando Shopping Street and Hiroshima Shinkansen Meitengaifor some retail therapy. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Hatsukaichi: Kure (JMSDF Kure Museum, Tainomiya Shrine, &more), Bay Side Beach Saka (in Saka-cho) and Hiroshima (MAZDA Zoom-Zoom Stadium Hiroshima, Kamiyacho, &more).
