Situated between Ukraine and Russia, Sevastopol represents a laid-back coastal city with impressive naval history and a desirable microclimate for vacationers.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Sevastopol: Bakhchisaray (Cave Town of Chufut-Kale, Bakhchisaryi Holy Dormition Monastery, &more) and Balaklava (Nazukina Embankment, Balaklava Bay, &more). And it doesn't end there: pause for some photo ops at Monument to the Flooded Ships in Sevastopol, take in the waterfront at Grafskaya Wharf, explore the striking landscape at Cape Fiolent, and make a trip to Admiral Nakhimov Monument.

To see more things to do, ratings, where to stay, and more tourist information, go to the Sevastopol sightseeing planner.

Kursk, Russia to Sevastopol is an approximately 13-hour car ride. You can also do a combination of flight and car. The time zone changes from Moscow Standard Time (MSK) to Eastern European Standard Time (EET), which is usually a -1 hour difference. Alupka is a resort city located in the Crimean peninsula, currently subject to a territorial dispute between the Russian Federation and Ukraine (see 2014 Crimean crisis). Venture out of the city with trips to Cableway Mishor - Ai Petri (in Koreiz), Nikita Botanical Gardens (in Nikita) and Yalta (Lenin Embankment & Catedral de San Alexander Nevsky). There's still lots to do: explore the historical opulence of Vorontsov Palace and Park complex, explore the world behind art at Massandra Palace, take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Ai-Petri, and admire the landmark architecture of Livadia Palace and Park Museum-Reserve.

To find maps, photos, and other tourist information, go to the Alupka sightseeing planner.

Getting from Sevastopol to Alupka by car takes about 1.5 hours. Cap off your sightseeing on the 10th (Sat) early enough to go by car to Feodosia.
