In February, daily temperatures in Tortuguero can reach 34°C, while at night they dip to 24°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 21st (Thu) early enough to go by car to San Jose.

Start off your visit on the 22nd (Fri): pause for some serene contemplation at Iglesia La Soledad, get engrossed in the history at Museo Nacional De Costa Rica, take an in-depth tour of Jade Museum, then explore the galleries of Galeria Namu, and finally see the interesting displays at Pre-Columbian Gold Museum. On the next day, admire the masterpieces at Museo de Arte Costarricense, then have fun and explore at Museo de los Ninos, and then pause for some serene contemplation at Santuario Nacional Nuestra Senora de Los Angeles.

Traveling from Tortuguero in February, expect nights in San Jose to be about the same, around 21°C, while days are a bit cooler, around 30°C.
