Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 2nd (Fri): get outside with Tasman Arch, hike along Three Capes Track, and then steep yourself in history at Government Farm.

Snaking up the side of a rounded, tree-dotted hill, Hobart sits between Tasmania’s sprawling mountains and the vast estuary of the River Derwent.
Bring the kids along to Seven Mile Beach and North Hobart. Shop till you drop at Farm Gate Market and The Wicked Cheese Co.. Get out of town with these interesting Hobart side-trips: Raptor Refuge (in Kettering), Russell Falls (in Mount Field National Park) and The Neck (in Bruny Island). There's still lots to do: take in the waterfront at Constitution Dock, take an unforgettable tour with a helicopter tour, and view the masterpieces at Salamanca Arts Centre.
