Barcelona, the country’s second-largest city, is a cosmopolitan urban center known for its throbbing youthful energy and stellar architecture.
Basilica of the Sagrada Familia and Vila Vella (Old Town) are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Step off the beaten path and head to El Born and Parish Church of Sant Roma. Step out of Barcelona with an excursion to Castell d'en Plaja in Lloret de Mar--about 1 hour away. There's much more to do: don't miss a visit to Casa Batllo, visit Ciutat Vella, admire the striking features of Casa Mila - La Pedrera, and walk around Parc Guell.

A city of rich Moorish heritage, Seville is the cultural and financial center of southern Spain, and the site of numerous festivals throughout the year.
On the 10th (Thu), steep yourself in history at Royal Alcázar of Seville, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Capilla de San Jose, then shop like a local with Calle Sierpes, and finally steep yourself in history at Plaza de España.
