Queensland’s biggest town and state capital, Brisbane has an attractive, manicured image based around its riverside aesthetic as well as the contrast between its high-rise center and extensive urban greenery.
Start off your visit on the 2nd (Sun): look for all kinds of wild species at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, wander the streets of West End, and then indulge in some personalized pampering at some of the best spas. Keep things going the next day: stop by Noosa Chocolate Factory, take in the spiritual surroundings of Old St Stephen's Catholic Church (Pugin Chapel), thensee some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour, and finally take in the waterfront at Eagle Street Pier.

A lush headland that's part of the forested Daintree Region, Cape Tribulation was so named by Lieutenant--later Captain--Cook in 1770, when his ship ran aground in the area.
