Known to most by its German name Auschwitz, the modestly sized city of Oswiecim sits at the foot of the Jura Mountains, just 50 km (30 mi) west of Krakow.
You've now added Main Market Square to your itinerary. Start off your visit on the 18th (Mon): appreciate the extensive heritage of Main Market Square, then browse the exhibits of Panstwowe Muzeum Auschwitz-Birkenau, then get engrossed in the history at Jewish Museum and Synagogue, and finally pause for some photo ops at Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
