Kyoto

— 10 nights
The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Museum-lovers will appreciate Cup Noodle Museum Osaka Ikeda and Kyoto Museum of Crafts and Design. Do some cultural sightseeing at Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine and Nijo Castle. Venture out of the city with trips to Dotombori District (in Dotombori), Nara (Todaiji Temple Cultural Center, Nara Park, &more) and Osaka Shiritsu Toyo Toji Museum (in Osaka). Next up on the itinerary: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Tenryuji Temple, steep yourself in history at Yasaka Shrine, appreciate the extensive heritage of Hieizan Enryaku-ji Temple, and get great views at Mt. Kurama.
