Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.
Kick off your visit on the 15th (Fri): take a stroll through Ueno, take in the spiritual surroundings of Sensō-ji, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Asakusa Shrine, then take a stroll through Kitchen Town (Kappabashi), and finally steep yourself in history at Hie Jinjya. On the next day, take in the awesome beauty at Mt. Takao and then wander the streets of Yanaka.

Singapore, Singapore to Tokyo is an approximately 10.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train; or do a combination of flight, taxi, and train. You'll lose 1 hour traveling from Singapore to Tokyo due to the time zone difference. Traveling from Singapore in November, things will get much colder in Tokyo: highs are around 19°C and lows about 11°C. You will have some time to spend on the 17th (Sun) before leaving for Fujikawaguchiko-machi.

Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 19th (Tue): contemplate the long history of Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine, then step into the grandiose world of Nijo Castle, then contemplate the long history of Kitano Tenmangu Shrine, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Shimogamo Jinja.

Traveling by car from Fujikawaguchiko-machi to Kyoto takes 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of bus and train; or do a combination of bus and flight. When traveling from Fujikawaguchiko-machi in November, plan for a bit warmer days and about the same nights in Kyoto: temperatures range from 19°C by day to 10°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 20th (Wed) so you can catch the train to Osaka.

Step off the beaten path and head to Arima Onsen and Koyasan Danjo Garan. Your inner history buff will appreciate Toshodaiji Temple and Osaka Castle. Get out of town with these interesting Osaka side-trips: Kofuku-ji Temple (in Nara) and CUPNOODLES MUSEUM OSAKA IKEDA (in Ikeda). And it doesn't end there: steep yourself in history at Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine, get in on the family fun at Universal Studios Japan, take in the spiritual surroundings of Hōzen-ji Temple, and wander the streets of Dotonbori.
