Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.
Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Ginza and Asakusa. Museum-lovers will get to explore Tokyo National Museum and Edo-Tokyo Museum. Step out of Tokyo with an excursion to Ghibli Museum in Mitaka--about 30 minutes away. There's lots more to do: take in the spiritual surroundings of Senso-ji Temple, wander the streets of Odaiba, make a trip to Meiji Jingu Shrine, and admire the natural beauty at Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden.

The time zone difference when traveling from Mexico City to Tokyo is 15 hours. Located on the coast in the middle of the island, Onna-son has become known for its beaches and seaside economy.
Kick off your visit on the 22nd (Wed): enjoy the sand and surf at Kariyushi Beach, then cool off at Manza Ocean Park, then kick back and relax at Manza Beach, and finally tour the pleasant surroundings at Cape Manzamo.

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Visit Nijo-jo Castle and Kiyomizu-dera Temple for their historical value. Get a sense of the local culture at Nara Park and Gion. Explore Kyoto's surroundings by going to Nara (Todai-ji Temple & Kofuku-ji Temple) and Osaka (Dotonbori & Osaka Castle). There's much more to do: contemplate the long history of Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine, take in the spiritual surroundings of Sanjusangendo Temple, and don't miss a visit to Mimizuka.
