The largest city on the island, Fukuoka formed through the merger of two former cities that had grown up either side of the Naka River.
Your day-by-day itinerary now includes Canal City Hakata as well as Kitakyushu City Kawachi Fuji Garden Wisterias Blossom. Kick off your visit on the 24th (Sun): let the kids burn off some steam at Ohori Park, take in panoramic vistas at Fukuoka Tower, take in the spiritual surroundings of Tochoji Temple, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Dazaifu Temmangu, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Kushida Shrine, and finally buy something for everyone on your list at Tenjin Underground Shopping Center. Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Fukuoka is an approximately 11.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight; or do a combination of flight and train. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 1 hour traveling from Kuala Lumpur to Fukuoka. Traveling from Kuala Lumpur in March, expect Fukuoka to be cooler, temps between 17°C and 7°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 25th (Mon) so you can catch the train to Osaka.
