In many ways the most modern of Italian cities, Milan is a busy, elegant metropolis with an impressive list of grand palaces, fine churches, and important museums.
On the 10th (Tue), browse the different shops at Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, thentake in the architecture and atmosphere at Duomo di Milano, and then don't miss a visit to Piazza del Duomo. On your second day here, explore the different monuments and memorials at Monumental Cemetery, thenexplore the historical opulence of Castello Sforzesco, thenget engrossed in the history at Basilica di Sant'Ambrogio, and finally get advice or help at Pinacoteca Ambrosiana.
