With the largest international airport on the island, Chitose serves for most visitors as a way in or a way out, rather than a destination in itself.
Kick off your visit on the 5th (Sat): contemplate the waterfront views at Lake Shikotsu, play a few rounds at Nidom Classic Course, get out on two wheels at North Snow Land In Chitose, then play a few rounds at The North Country Golf Club, and finally examine the collection at Royce' Chocolate World.

Perhaps the island's best-known hot spring resort, Noboribetsu has a long history of tourism.

Asahikawa

Perched on the confluence of four rivers and surrounded by green hills, Asahikawa combines a modern city experience with the pristine nature nearby.
On the 12th (Sat), walk around Asahiyama Park, meet the residents at Asahiyama Zoo, then fly down the slopes at Asahiyama Yuki no Mura, then fly down the slopes at Asahikawa Kamui Ski Resort, and finally get great views at Kamuikotan.
