Start off your visit on the 7th (Tue): delve into the distant past at Palatine Hill and then explore the ancient world of Colosseum. Here are some ideas for day two: admire the local landmark of Trevi Fountain, pause for some serene contemplation at Pantheon, contemplate the long history of St. Peter's Basilica, then appreciate the extensive heritage of Piazza Navona, and finally take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of St. Louis of the French.

Syracuse, USA to Rome is an approximately 14.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight; or do a combination of train and flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 6 hours traveling from Syracuse to Rome. The cultural, economic, and political center of the country, Vienna has developed from its early Celtic and Roman roots into a medieval and Baroque city, with an old town that was designated a World Heritage Site in 2001.
On the 10th (Fri), admire the landmark architecture of Schonbrunn Palace, then admire the landmark architecture of Rathaus, then admire the masterpieces at Albertina, and finally pause for some serene contemplation at St. Stephen's Cathedral. Keep things going the next day: admire the masterpieces at Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien, see the interesting displays at Imperial Palace (Hofburg), and then explore the world behind art at Belvedere Palace.
