Founded in 1632 as a fortified settlement on the high ground between two rivers, Williamsburg served as a colonial capital of Virginia for over 80 years.
Start off your visit on the 26th (Thu): contemplate the long history of Colonial Williamsburg, then contemplate the long history of St. Luke's Historic Church & Museum, and then pause for some serene contemplation at Bruton Parish Episcopal Church. On the next day, step aboard Jamestown Settlement, contemplate the long history of George Wythe House, and then cool off at Busch Gardens Williamsburg.
