A modern city and a major transport hub facing Seto Inland Sea, Takamatsu offers a bustling city lifestyle contrasted with carefully manicured, tranquil green areas at the foot of the mountains and the lava plateau.
Get in touch with nature at Great Seto Bridge and Kaze no Michi. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Himawari no Sato Manno and Akakabocha. Venture out of the city with trips to Okuiya Niju Kazurabashi Bridge (in Miyoshi), Marugame Castle (in Marugame) and Teshima Art Museum (in Teshima). And it doesn't end there: go for a walk through Ritsurin Garden, steep yourself in history at Kotohira-gu, admire the masterpieces at Chichu Art Museum, and admire the landmark architecture of Art House Project.
