Pray for wealth and luck in business at Hsing Tian Kong, a popular Taoist temple in Taipei’s Zhongshan district. An impressive structure erected on the corner of a very busy intersection, the temple worships Guan Yu, the patron god of businesspeople. Constructed in 1967, the temple features many intricate carved designs and contains a collection of dragon sculptures. Locals flock here to pray, while people wait in line to get a blessing or take part in open lectures held by various Confucian scholars. The busy temple has its own subway station, and no burning of incense is allowed inside the temple. Hsing Tian Gong is one of Taipei's best loved temples. There is no English name outside, just look at the address. I've been past the temple many times without knowing the name of the temple.. Hsing..... more »

Visit the temple during the a service. They don't have a strict dress code but be presentable. Beautiful architectural building with vibrant colors. A must see
Didn't know this is quite well known among the locals. I passed by every morning on my bus. Only visited the temple towards the last few weeks of my stay in Taipei. That was after attending a funeral nearby. A Taiwanese colleague told me they will normally come to the temple to cleanse after a funeral, walk in from one entrance and exit through another. Quite a colorful worship place as you can see a lot locals offering there.
