  • The museum is built on the fault line where a school collapsed. Luckily it was night when the earthquake took place. Very informative about geology, causes, modifications. The school buildings are still there as after the quake

  • Fascinating and instructive. The destroyed sports field impressed me the most, just earthquakes to touch close! A must see activity!!! Tip: Visit restaurant "du'fun" and try the sauce with pasta or rice. Just good! Hmmm...

  • A must-visit, especially if you come from a non-earthquake zone. All the exhibits have English commentary. Very comprehensive exhibition to help you understand why earthquakes occur, their impact, what we need to do in an earthquake, the engineering techniques used to mitigate its effects, and smart technologies for the home. TIP: they have an earthquake simulator that is worth experiencing but has long queues. Make that your first stop to get a queue number. They also have other very educational and engaging small experiential simulators.
  • Informative exhibit introducing visitors about the nature of earthquakes, and disaster preparedness. Hands on installments that really educate how earthquakes work, and how infrastructure effected the loss of lives, and how society can do better. The demolished debris left from the earthquake were a real reminder of the dangers of quakes. The guides show genuine interest in the subject and the earthquake simulation was eye opening. Highly recommended learning experience that everyone should go to.
