Visit Saladin (Selahedin) Mausoleum, the grave of the first sultan of Syria and Egypt. Prior to conflict, people from all around the country came here to honor the sultan. From the outside, the red dome makes this mausoleum recognizable. Inside you can see the coffin of famous warrior, where his body rests. The wooden sarcophagi has imposing carvings designed to highlight his fame. Next to it you can see a marble coffin, which German emperor Wilhelm II gifted in 1898.
