  • Must see venue/gallery/museum/centre. Easily got to by No12 tram from city centre (10 minutes). Car park nearby too. Cafe, gift shop etc, as you’d expect.  more »
  • Come with the kids! The artist is widely known in the small circles of art lovers of the times between the world wars (Remarque lovers are dedicated). Paul Klee is able to show our emotions, especially women's emotions. It's practically Munch, but more positive, with a touch of satire. He wrote himself: "A joke conquers suffering." The arched building was created by the famous Renzo Piano, perfectly inscribed in the relief. Ahead of the artificial undulating grass hills, behind the buildings - arched beds with local vegetation cover, and Skyline form the tops of the Alps. it is in the idea of the architect of the museum - landscape sculpture.

  • This is a great museum...if you like Paul Klee. Well, even if you don't, you should just go. The museum and the space itself is beautiful. Klee is a Swiss-born artist and this museum pays homage to his life's work. They also feature other artists in a rotating exhibit. You are allowed to take photographs in the museum which is nice and they have a super awesome children's center with easels and fun activities for the little ones,
  • It's a fun and scenic ride on the #12 bus from Downtown or the Bear Park to the Paul Klee Museum. I was a fan of Klee's work before we saw the museum and am even moreso now that I've seen his work displayed in this beautiful building. Perched on a hillside overlooking the city and open fields and the Alps beyond, the museum is a soothing, undulating piece of modern architecture, with a clean, warm interior. The works are well-displayed and titled, loosely organized according to the major themes he explored during his life. The gift shop, too, is full of interesting and unique items. Admission is free on some days so you may want to organize your itinerary to take advantage of that.
