Warappa Kreek Reviews
We drove over the Wijdenbosch Bridge to Commewijne where we went to Leliëndaal in a boat and sailed over the Commewijne River to the village of Alliance, a clean and just village. Then continue to Bakkie plantation for lunch. This looked like Surinamese but tasted European, too bad. The garden was filled with indigenous plants and trees, each with a story about whether or not the healing effect of their sheets or fruits. The museum contains all kinds of things from the slavery era, interesting to see, some gruesome to think about it. Then with the boat the Warappa Creek, first flanked by the forest, but as we approached the ocean the image was doodser because of the increasing silting. Turned up on the ocean and the rum was distributed there. (This will be tradition) On the way back we went to land to see the remains of a steam engine. First, how did they get it there and secondly how did they find it after all this time. Then back to Leliëndaal. What is still to be mentioned is that during the entire boat trip we have seen a lot of birds, the one even more beautiful than the other and that we had a very knowledgeable guide (Bondru Tours), a woman of Indian descent. She did not put down a standard story but had an expert answer to all questions and responded to the interests of the guests. All in all a successful day.

We hebben het een stuk gezien maar w... more »As nature lovers, it seemed to us a nice plan to visit this place, but we were there in the evening and it was still too low water to sail all over the creek. We have seen it a lot but little wildlife..... On hundreds of blood-hungry mosquitoes after
