  • Unfortunately we couldn't enter because you need closed shoes and you also need to cover your shoulders and knees. From the outside it's beautiful.  more »
  • As lovers of special buildings we visited the cathedral in Paramaribo. The wooden cathedral is quite unique in South America. You will also find the tomb of the Dutch pater Peerke Donders who has done a lot for the lepers in Suriname. The cross-over panels are also very worthwhile.

  • When the mind is pure and tranquil, we have arrived in pure land.
  • One of the most beautiful historical buildings of Paramaribo Capital. This wooden cathedral is much worth visiting. It has a rich history. of course you also can attend a service there. But the St. Petrus and Paulus Basilisk is open everyday for visitors. Do make a small contribution for maintenance do. that helps to keep it the way it is. inside there is a lot of decorated Cedar wood ornaments.
