Wij kregen de rondleiding van Glenn, die he... more »The Koto Museum, housed in a small monumental house, was a great experience for me. Have learned a lot and can behold beautiful Koto's. We got the guided tour of Glenn, who was very enthusiastic and extensively told about the Koto's and the history and background of this. I am of Surinamese origin, born in the Netherlands and this was really a revelation for me in terms of experiencing my roots. One of the highlights of my trip!

Eind van... more »Got the tip of Marita from Down Town Oasis: A very special museum where we were guided for two hours. We heard many of the clothing of Creole women and the intentions of doing so! At the end of this year an exhibition of the Koto Museum in the Museum of folk costumes in Amsterdam.
A lovely place for a visit. Our guide was knowledgeable and delightful. It’s a short tour, no more than 90 minutes max. But well worth for getting some insight into the history and culture of Suriname
Great experience when it was world museum day. verry interesting stories about the people that lived there and how they went about. good place to visit if you are a history buf
