Plaza de America, Seville

The Plaza de America, located in the Parque de María Luisa, is flanked by the Museum of Popular Arts to the north, the Archaeological Museum to the south, and the Royal Pavilion to the east. These three buildings were built by the architect Aníbal González between 1913 and 1916 for the future Ibero-American exhibition in 1929, each with a different architectural style. Also form Part of the roundabout of Miguel de Cervantes, adorned with the works Ceramics Recalling Most Famous, as Rodriguez Marin.

  • The Plaza Americas is a nice site which is surrounded by museums. I was told to go and visit by a local but personally it's not for me. As you have to past Plaza Espana it's not nearly as epic and feels run down compared to that On the day I visited it appeared that the gardens were being looked after much over growth and it was really messy. I don't like birds and found the man selling bird feed for the pigeons odd for feeding pests. If that's your thing this might be for you but it made the place smell/appear to be run down. I don't think it's worth making the effort given that there are more impressive sites around Seville.
