    Seems like an under utilized plaza, which is surprising, as the entrance to the magnificent cathedral is just a couple hundred feet off to the side. Definitely a place to sit down and let time go by.  more »

    The Anaya Palace houses the Faculty of Philology of the University of Salamanca and that gives it a double appeal: on the one hand, the student environment and the adaptation of its spaces to the school use and, on the other, the monumentality of the building, perfectly fitted in the beautiful Anaya square and in line with the best monuments of the city. The intelligent traveler will be discreet when entering inside so as not to interfere with the school dynamics, but will not fail to visit the courtyard, the bust of Unamuno and at least the imperial staircase.
