The Holy Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Lord, also known as the Cathedral of Saint Mary of Huesca, is a Roman Catholic church in Huesca, in Aragon, north-eastern Spain. It is the seat of the Bishop of Huesca. Its architecture is Gothic, and its construction began in the late 13th century and was finished in the early 16th century.

    You cannot drive in certain streets in central Huesca, they have cameras and will fine you.. The trouble is that they are signposted in such a way that you can see them until it is too...  more »

    On a clear day in October, with nearly no traffic, I was stopped by Huesca Police for no apparent reason. After a long delay and their discovery that was was in a rental car that was to be returned.....  more »

    Lovely small town, great pubs and food, close to Barcelona 3 hours by car, bus service reliable.

    We didn't actually go into the cathedral but pottered around Huesca on a hot summer day. There are plenty of interesting buildings and shady plazas to escape the heat. The Cathedral is at the top of a hill away from the main shopping area.
