  • This is a wonderful small bodega that gives you a glimpse in to how traditional wine has developed in this part of spain. We arrived on great day when there were lots of people working on bottling.....  more »
  • Of the four wineries we visited during that day, Tritium was definitely a favourite! It was intimate, fun and educational and the wine kept coming. Definitely not a classical winery but absolutely...  more »
  • A wonderful change from typical wine tasting experience. The staff was extremely warm, welcoming and fun. It felt more like a meeting of friend for drinks than a wine tasting. Ara, our guide, spoke excellent English and led us on a tour of Tritium bodegas' unique 500-hundred-year-old wine cellar which included a sample from their wine barrels. This was followed by a generous tasting which lasted over an hour. We tried various bottles of whites and reds, including a draw directly from a wine skin. Smaller producers like Tritium have been granted permission to innovate beyond Rioja’s traditional wine regulations. My favorite was El Largo, which is made up of a 4-grape variety blend from the producer’s best harvests and not normally available to taste. I ended up buying two bottles. Tritium is a must try for anyone looking to change from the usually mechanical tasting experiences at the big-name producers. What’s more, the wine is very good and the people are extremely jovial. Highly recommend giving it a try.
  • Was brought here by our guide (Alfredo). He was a former sommelier and he highly recommended this place. Am really glad that we went with his suggestion and came here. The wines are made with care and are really exceptional. We went to another "big name" winery after this and the difference in their wines was obvious. This place does it better, period. My only regret was not buying more bottles.
