With a period of construction spanning some 500 years, Castillo de Burgos still impresses visitors as a fortress sitting 75 m (246 ft) above the city. Currently, the castle contains a recreational park with streets named for poets. The partial reconstruction of the castle, which fell during the Napoleonic wars, has enabled its use as a museum. You can even visit the well, some 300 m (984 ft) deep, along with its underground galleries. You’ll enjoy the interesting story of these tunnels. Although the castle maintains the walls it is interesting to visit its tunnels access to the well. It also contains an exhibition of its different constructions and defenses and of the occupants in their different eras. The ascent to the castle on the way is interesting because of the views and vegetation that surrounds us, there are some stairs that give access to the perimeter and entrance to the castle. From the viewpoint you can see a panoramic view of the city of burgsView original -

Burgos ne surprised positively. the castle is in ruins, you can see little of what was a dis, but it is very worth visiting. There are exhibits of artifacts found in the excavations. It is located on the top of a hill where you have a privileged view of the city. And the admission is free.

Archeological ruins of Burgos Castle. Well presented with information provided at each important locations around the castillo. The information helped us to understand how it was in that era. Series of steps to walk around the ruins. Might not be good for wheelchairs or strollers. Very good view of the Burgos city from mirador. There's a restaurant and cafeteria. Entry was gratis.
