  Gorgeous tile work in several buildings of what used to be a hospital. This sight is a hidden gem that is not overcrowded like so many of the sights in Barcelona.  more »

  Little known, it is not flagged as one of the attractions of Barcelona and instead deserves a visit of at least two hours. Those who love the liberti style can not fail to appreciate this monumental complex. This place, however, is also mandatory to visit on a beautiful day. I went in there that it was raining, then the sun came back and the roofs, the walls turned into a riot of colors. Sunday closes at 2.30pm, but entry is free in the morning. I don't know if it was an accident, but around 12 o'clock in the pitch 30s music was put in and people were dancing. Lovely!! There are no audio guides in Italian

  What an amazing surprise! We decided last minute to visit the Recinte Modernista, and I'm so glad we did. It's a wonderful place with beautiful buildings and gardens, built out of love and dedication for fellow humans. I highly recommend the audioguide, which tells you a little about the history of this former hospital. I absolutely loved it :)
