This is one of the most beautiful and historic places in our city. From the main street below, you walk up a set of stone steps, pass under an old wooden gate, and enter the world of the past. Yeongnamlu is called a pavilion, although many westerners will think of it as a temple. The Pavilion grounds are very well maintained. There are historic signs, restroom facilities, and sometimes there are even historic reenactments up here. If you take your shoes off, you are allowed to enter the actual pavilion itself, which gives you a breathtaking view of the central portion of the city. Yeongnamlu is halfway up the hill. If you continue climbing, there is an actual temple and an even more impressive view of the city. If you visit Miryang, this is the one place that should definitely be at the top of your to-visit list.
