  • An hour's drive from Cape Town you can visit this natural park where you can easily meet ostriches, turtles, mongooses, steenboks and antelopes. From the point of sighting for the birds you can see herons, flamingos, small chiurs and other birds. Another gem not to miss a walk on the huge dunes very fascinating. It takes at least three hours for a full visit but it's ideal to spend a whole day having lunch at the park restaurant.

  • Perfect outing for a day if you visit the beach. Check the tide tables to plan accordingly. Be prepared and take along umbrellas, gazebos etc. Pack as light as possible so when the tide comes in its easier and quicker to pack up.
  • It's about 1.5 hrs from Cape Town. Gate opens at 07h00 in summer. We hot there at 07h30 and there was already a long queue to get in. If you are going to the lagoon then take a gazebo or umbrellas for shade. No shops nothing to buy there so take everything you need. The lagoon is shallow and fun to play in so take an inflatable boat or toy. Lots of fun. Nice and clean. Soft sand. Warm water.
