Sečovlje Salina Nature Park, Seča

Sečovlje Salina Nature Park features the country's biggest salt-evaporation pond. This site remains one of the last few where you can see salt produced in the traditional way. Also important, the surrounding wetland offers a breeding place fro water birds. In operation since the 13th century, these salt works continue production in order to protect the area's cultural and natural heritage.
