Trip Planner: Europe / Slovenia / Slovenian Littoral Region / Slovenian Istria / Piran / Piran Town Walls
Put one euro in the locked gate to access the stairs and climb to the top of Piran Town Walls, offering views of the city and the sea. The three walls were built during the town's long history, and large parts remain well-preserved today. See the ruins of the first wall from the 7th century in the old part of the town. The third wall with its seven towers built between 1470 and 1533 is almost completely intact. As you explore the walls, look for the oldest of the eight city entrances or "gates," which dates back to the 13th century. Among other gates, pay attention to the city's best-preserved Gothic doors, constructed in 1483 by mayor Dolfin. To visit Piran Town Walls and other attractions in Piran, use our Piran trip planner.

Great place to be, especially at sunset - just take a look at the added photos! You can see the while Piran from up there, there are 3 towers from which you can take photos at slightly different angles. The entrance fee is reasonable and in my opinion it is definitely worth to climb there! Fully recommend the place.
Frankly speaking, one of the best view points in Piran. Very impressed. Not very crowded place, it is a historical spot with a stunning view of the whole island
