Shortly after the start, there is a chapel with frescos from the beginning of the thirteenth. Then we follow a path under a canopy of trees. Very quickly, we descend along a stream through a forest. There are 4 large waterfalls, and small bridges to cross. The descent is steep but well secured. A passage is more difficult when we go through the gorges. The ski is softer still through the forest. Ideal hiking by high heat. Our teenagers loved.
“Een avontuurlijke duik in de stilte”. De plaatselijke bewoners van Kosec hebben op vrijwillige basis deze Koseska Korita Gorge toegankelijker gemaakt voor liefhebbers die van stilte en natuur houden.... more »"An adventurous dive in silence". Local residents of Koseska Korita Gorge on a voluntary basis this Kosec have made more accessible for lovers of silence and nature. They are out there very well managed. Here you will experience a hiking adventure of about 4 km. length of time, about 2 hours. The adventure starts at the village Chapel of Saint Just. This is the oldest church from the entire region Kobarid. Many have here "the blessing of God" obtained before they embarked on their adventure. From here you descend via a hiking trail to the lower 60 metres gap. Along the way you will pass 4 small waterfalls created by the Stopnik-River. One of them is 20 meters high. Just enjoy at your own pace. Wild nature, towering walls and wrinkled mountain layers are sure to charm. Further descend do you do once you've reached the gap through steel cables you have to cross over the riverbed boulders. A steel span cable can be used as a guide. On this site you can also take a look in the Koritak foliage through a fixed steel rods that anchors in the rock walls. During the way back you can still make to the ' Slap Slap Krampez & Sopot. A fresh shower or a delicious foot bath will do you good. Parking spaces are very limited in the village. You have some parking spaces at the information board just before the Brusnikrivier. There is also parking lot at the entrance to the village of Kosec at the bus stop. If you choose this parking lot walking you through the small hamlet of St. Just to the chapel. Meanwhile you can enjoy the local wood sculpture and sculpture in rock. Beautiful wooden statues and artful rocks adorn the Central Village Road. From this car park you are only 10 minutes from the Slap Slap Krampez and Sopot. More parking places there are in the nearby town Dreznica = just a 10-minute steps to Kosec. With this adventurous company is easy to fill half a day. Don't forget eating or drinking because here is nothing. In Dreznica is a small convenience store and a good restaurant. Resto Gostisce Jelkin Hram. Eat potluck! Just daily fare at good rates. PS: the first Review on this location and also about the Slap and Tonovcov Krampez Gard were also created by me, visually created with accompanying photos and written in June 2017 and is already read by many travelers and was strongly appreciated (10 likes in total) but due to technical problems in June 2018 was my original review. Hopefully this review remains longer and may in the future many travellers discover these locations.
